Bar Manufacturer Expanding Capacity

Looking to strengthen its global position in the bar market, Netherlands-based VSI, a non-branded contract manufacturer, has broken ground for a new bar production plant. This new site is VSI’s third plant in Leerdam, Netherlands, and is expected to be fully operational in January 2012. Once in full operation, VSI’s third plant will enable production of up to 250 to 300 million bars annually. Previously, a second plant was opened in August 2010, which boosted production by about 40 million to a total of 150 million bars a year.
